About Children's Services

The JBS Children's Services Program provides non-traditional, intensive, home-based therapy and case management services to children with a serious emotional disturbance and their family's who reside within the tri-county catchment area. Children who are eligible for these services must be between the ages of 5-17 years, have a DSM-V diagnosis, have serious and persistent functional problems within their home, school and/or community and, as a result, are considered to be at risk for out-of-home placement. The service model is entitled Project Family Integrity Network Demonstration (F.I.N.D.) and utilizes a two-member (male and female) clinical treatment team approach for 12-16 weeks of home-based therapy, followed by case management support that reinforces continuity of clinical care through a brokerage/linkage model of intervention. The goal of Project F.I.N.D. is to prevent out-of-home placement of the identified child consumer by promoting the family's ability to effectively learn and apply new ways of managing the child's mental health symptoms while also increasing their community connections for optimal resource utilization.
